Apple Boot Keys

Startup from external drive or CD that has a valid system

CMD-OPT-SHIFT-DELETE

Boot from CD

C

Zap PRAM

CMD-OPT-P-R

Disable Extensions

SHIFT

Start up in FireWire Target Disk mode

Press T during startup

Attempt to start up from a compatible network server (NetBoot)

Press N during startup

Start up in Single-User mode

CMD-S

Start up in Verbose mode.

CMD-V

Start up in Safe Boot mode and temporarily disable login items and non-essential kernel extension files
(Mac OS X 10.2 and later)

SHIFT

Bypass primary startup volume and seek for a different startup volume on the same hard disk
